Hey everyone, wondering if anyone has any insight with regards to withholding taxes on foreign companies cross-listed in the US.

Let’s take Unilever for example, a Dutch company listed on both the Amsterdam exchange as well as NYSE. Withholding tax in the Netherlands is 15%. If I buy Unilever in USD on the NYSE, will dividends be subject to an automatic 15% withholding tax? If I purchase it in my retirement account, is the dividend tax free?
